FTV Capital Invests in Canadian Energy Data Company

Energy markets tend to generate a vast amount of transactional data. FTV Capital, which had its origins as more of a venture capital company in California, led a FTV Capital has led a significant strategic growth investment in Vancouver, Canada-based ZEMA Global Data Corporation (formerly ZE PowerGroup), a provider of enterprise data management and analytics for the commodity and energy sectors. Dr. Zak El-Ramly formed ZE in 1995 in response to progressive changes towards competition in electric power. In 2001, ZE Power launched ZE Market Analyzer (ZEMA), which collects information on commodity prices, weather, stream flows. D.A. Alongside this investment, we are also delighted to announce that Andrea Remyn Stone has been appointed as chief executive officer. Stone is the former Group Head of the Data and Analytics Division at the London Stock Exchange Group (LSEG). FTV Capital is the first institutional investor in ZEMA. FTV Capital has a track record in both of these areas, including investments such as Derivative Path, Enfusion (NYSE: ENFN), InvestCloud (recapitalized), Masttro and RapidRatings (recapitalized).
